Making Your Way to Ravello

We’re thrilled to celebrate this special occasion with you in the charming town of Ravello, Italy! To make your journey as smooth as possible, here’s a handy guide on various ways to reach Ravello.

General Travel Tips

  • Local Currency: Euro (EUR) is widely accepted. Ensure you have some cash for small purchases. AmEx is not widely accepted, and many places only take cash. If this is your first time in Europe, we recommend getting  a bit of Euro cash at the airport currency exchange.

  • Tipping: Tips at ~10% (usually not significantly more) are appreciated.

  • Language: While Italian is the official language, English is commonly understood in tourist areas.

  • Tap water is generally drinkable everywhere in Europe!

  • Attire: Ravello has a relaxed vibe, but pack a mix of casual and dressier attire for various wedding events. We will share event-specific dress codes in our written wedding invite.

  • Local Cuisine: Don’t miss the opportunity to savor local dishes, including fresh seafood and delicious pastas.

  • Weather: Check the forecast and pack accordingly. Ravello enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with temperatures around 76F/24C in September.

  • Transportation after arrival in Amalfi: Ubers aren’t used in the region (you can get one at the airport, but not in every town) and cabs/buses are most commonly used. Scooters are very common but please only consider if you’re a strong, confident driver. Your hotel can also help you with transportation tips!
